Washing My Makeup Brushes!

Hellooo guys,
Thank you so much on the 600 views!!! I am so happy that so many people have been reading my blog <3
Today's blog is showing you how i clean my brushes. I haven't cleaned my brushes in about two weeks and i normally clean them once a week, just to make sure they haven't got any dirt in them or germs that will affect my face and also its just makes them a lot better to apply my makeup with.
These are the brushes/sponge that i use everyday. They are all real technique brushes.

To start off i fill my sink with hot water. The water needs to be hot so that the products can easily come off of the brushes. I then add a small amount of shampoo to the water. It can be any brand of shampoo i am just using some Elvive. Then just give the water a bit of a mix and then you are ready to start washing your brushes.

First i started with my buffing brush. This is my number one brush. I use it for powder mostly but i feel it can be used for anything if you do not have the right brush.

All i do is move it round in the hot water to soften up any product that is on the brush and then i squeeze the brush to get it all out. I do this for a few minutes with each brush until i am happy that i have got them as clean as possible.
Once you are happy that your brush is clean, dry it on a clean towel. The video below is showing you the best way to dry them quickly.
The pictures below show you the different before they were cleaned and after they were cleaned.

Real techniques Buffing brush.

Real techniques contouring brush.

Real techniques setting brush.

Real techniques pointed foundation brush.

Real techniques shading brush.

The last thing i wash is my real techniques miracle complexion sponge. I leave this until last because i use this to apply foundation and it is the hardest to clean.
I fill the sink again with fresh hot water and shampoo and leave it to soak for about 5 minutes. This softens the foundation and helps it to come off the sponge much easier.
After about 5 minutes of soaking, you just need to keep squeezing the sponge until all the foundation is out.

This is the difference between the two before it was cleaned and after.

Once everything is washed leave it on a clean towel to dry fully over night.

Thank you so much for reading, I hoped this helped you.

Perfect and sweet <3
