Naked 3 Palette

Helloooo my lovely readers, I'M BACK!!
I finally have time to do a blog and it feels so long with DofE and school, which I am very sorry about.
I have been working at Waitrose for just over a month now so I got my first pay day! WOOOO! I don't think iv'e ever been so excited, but of course I had money so I decided on purchasing the Naked 3 Palette. I love it, it is so beautiful and the colors are amazing.

So here is my baby! Isn't she beautiful.
To start with the packaging is so pretty and just makes you fall in love. It is also not a huge palette so it is quite easy to bring on holiday or just pop into our bag. Then you open it up and you see the amazing array of colors that are all perfect for may different eye looks.

First 6 left to right Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit, Buzz and Trick.
Last 6 left to right Nooner, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, Darkside and Blackheart.

The first 6 shades are pretty pinks and purples with a beautiful gold shimmer. The last 6 are dark shades perfect for smoky eye looks. My favourite shade from this palette is Trick, it is just a beautiful gold color which brightens my eyes and works really well with the shade Buzz.

These are all of the shades swatched and as you can see they are very pigmented and they are also quite sparkly which I normally do not like because it can normally get a lot of glitter around your eyes but these are very good at staying in place. all the colors are very pigmented and not a lot of the eye shadow is needed to get a good amount of color.

The Palette comes with a two sided brush which is very good for applying the eye shadows but not very good for blending so I would recommend using another blending brush. The large end of the brush is their blending brush but it isn't the best so I would use it for applying the eye shadow and the small end is for smaller application and it is good but I do not really use it very much.

I love this palette and have already used it so much even though I have had it for about two weeks. You can buy this palette from feelunique.com using this link:
http://www.feelunique.com/p/Urban-Decay-Naked-3-Palette
and it costs £37 which is a very good price for the quality of the palette and the eye shadows in it. If these are the sort of colors you like to use I can promise you will get your moneys worth out of this palette.

Thank you very much for reading and please share it would mean a lot.

Alixpress brushes!

Hellooo my lovely reader,
How is everyone this Sunday? I am very good, the blog is a little late today because this morning I have been out doing some practice for my Gold DofE award which I am canoeing for. I am going on Wednesday and won't be back until Sunday so next weekend there will not be a blog. Very sorry but just think i'll probably be out in the rain canoeing while you'll your still in bed, so I think you guys are lucky.

So I was told about this amazingly addictive website the other day. http://www.aliexpress.com/
This website sells everything and they are all sold at amazing prices with no shipping. So as you can tell I brought a lot. Brushes, makeup, sponges! I just couldn't stop shopping. Today's blog is about the brushes that I brought.

This is the first set of brushes that I brought. This set cost me £9 with no shipping and they are so soft. I got 10 brushes and they are all different. The top picture shows all of the larger brushes. From left to right we have a face brush, an angled flat topped brush, an angled face brush, a flat top brush and a domed brush. All of these brushes are perfect for foundation and face makeup. They are super soft and apply your makeup amazingly. The bottom row of brushes are the smaller brushes in the set. They are basically mini versions of the large ones but are great for applying eyeshadows and concealers. All the brushes have the same packaging, shiny black handles with a gold top to them with their Maange logo on the bottom.

This is the second set of brushes I got. This is only a set of 4 but they are just as good. They are the same brushes as the other smaller ones from the first set which I did not realize but it is always good to have spare brushes. They are just a soft and apply makeup just as well. I like the packaging more on these brushes because they have a matted handle with a gold top. This set only cost me £6 which is amazing for the quality of brush.

I just placed them into the extremely cute pot which just helps to keep them all together and makes my room a lot more tidy. I would definitely recommend having a look at the website because they do some great things for such great prices. The only disadvantage to this website is that it does take quite a long time for the product to arrive but if you are ok with waiting them go check them out.
Thank you very much for reading and please like and share, it would mean a lot.

New Makeup Shelf!

Helloooo guys,
How is everyone today? I know i have missed a few blogs and I am really sorry :( I have had so much work from college and I was in Dorset last weekend on a school trip but I am trying my hardest to keep up with it.
So forever I have had all my makeup on my bedroom desk but since starting college I have needed that to do work on so we went to Ikea and brought a new shelf and draws and set it all up in my room. I am completely in love with it because it is so much easier to keep it all organized and it looks so pretty perched on my wall.

This is the shelf!! Isn't it so pretty! This shelf cost £60 in IKEA and the mirror cost £27. The boxes in between the shelf are two different sizes. The small singular box cost £5 and the double boxes cost £7. They fit perfectly in the space and they are great for the smaller makeup items.

The whole shelf. All organised and neat.
This section of the shelf is where I have all of my storage units. I brought most of them from TKMaxx and the small one with nail vanishes in, is from Tiger. They are perfect for storing lipsticks and foundations. They help to keep everything neat and tidy and also makes it much easier to find the products when I want to use them.

This section of the shelf is for all of my brushes, nail vanishes and mascaras. These beautiful white pots are also from IKEA and the large ones cost £3 and the small ones cost £1.50 which I think is such a bargain for how beautiful they are. They are perfect for all my brushes and nail vanishes because I have a ton. They help to keep everything organised. I would definitely recommend getting some because they are just so helpful and they look so pretty.

In each of the boxes I have many different products. From left to right - in the first box I have a mix of BareMinerals products and other powders. The next large double box is full of blushes and bronzers and finally the next box is full of liquid and pencil eyeliners. The boxes help to put my makeup into categories and help to keep it all organised.

The next three boxes again from left to right - The first box is full of singular eyeshadows in many different shades. The middle double box is all of my pallets. This is completely full so i have had to keep some out on the top of the shelf as you can see in the picture and finally the last box is full of lip glosses and lip balms.

Thank you very much for reading, I know it was quite a short blog but I hope it gave you some ideas about how to organize your makeup or even a completely new makeup shelf idea.
Again thank you very much for reading and please like and share, it would mean a lot.

Kiko Velvet Mat Lipstick!

Hello my lovely readers, how is everyone today?
I am very sorry about last Saturdays blog, I had just started college and had work that I needed to do. My blog may become a little patchy just because college has just started and the work load will get larger but I will try my best to do a blog every Saturday.

Today's blog is about an amazing lipstick - Kiko velvet mat lipstick! I have never tried one before and they were in the sale so I thought I would try one out. I wore it to college the other day and knew straight away I just had to do a blog on it.

So of course, the packaging is like all the Kiko packaging but the lipstick packaging is very similar to MAC so I did nearly pick up a MAC lipstick and take some photos of one of those today.

This is the actually packaging of the lipstick. Isn't is just beautiful! So in the shop I bought it for the color and didn't get to look at the packaging but I was so surprised when I opened it because it is just so pretty. It has a lovely rose gold outer casing and a gold inner casing. To get the lipstick out you have to push down on the wider end and it pops out of the other end. At first this did confuse me but I actually really like the idea because sometimes the lids of lipsticks can come off in my makeup bag which just messes up the lipstick and it goes everywhere which can be very annoying so this design is very useful.

This is shad 611 and costs £6.90. Because it is a velvet mat formula it is very creamy and smooth which makes it easy to apply and stays on your lips for ages. Also when reapplying it, it doesn't patch up like some lipsticks can do. The pigment is very good and I even feel that it is close to being as good as MAC velvet mat range which is amazing for the price that these lipsticks cost compared to MAC. The pictures make the lipstick a lot more dark but the swatch on my hand is a lot more like the color. It is a deep purple red color and is a great color for the autumn weather. It goes well with other dark colors so it is very easy to match it with an outfit.

This is what the color looks like on my lips and with a full face of makeup. It is very easy to apply because it is so creamy and also the shape of the lipstick means you can outline your lips which can help define them and make apply it very neat.

I love this lipstick and will definitely be repurchasing more of the shades. If you are new to using lipstick I would definitely recommend Kiko because it is amazing quality for very affordable prices.

Thank you very much for reading.
Please keep liking, sharing and reading because it means a lot to me.
