Hiya guys, Its been super long I know, I think i'm just crap at keeping up with blogs and i'm sorry.
For the last week I have been in Sorrento for a hospitality trip and it was amazing. The cooking classes that I did were so interesting and the views were to die for. Today's blog will be showing you the sorts of things that I got up to while we were there and some of the amazing views we were luck enough to see.
So to start the trip off, like all school trips you have to have an early morning but i've never had to get to school for 3am before, which actually wasn't as hard as it sounds because I was so excited. We all piled onto the coach and we were off.
It was a really long day of travelling but when we arrived we went for a lovely walk around the streets and it was just beautiful.
We walked down to the sea front, which was our first sights of the amazing views. The weather was quite cloudy and grey but it was still beautiful.
This little church was one of my favourite buildings. The artwork of the building was amazing and at night it got completely lit up.
We visited a little Italian market which had lots of clothes and a couple of food stalls. The sun came out and it was lovely and warm.
These are just some more amazing views from the coach as we traveled around to our different activities.
We visited an olive oil factory where they showed us their land and all their olive trees and also the different processes they have to go through to make the olive oil. We also then had a tasting of their olive oil and all the different flavors. I brought a bottle of extra virgin oil, lemon oil and my favourite, black truffle oil.
One of my most favourite experiences on the trip was getting the opportunity to climb Mount Vesuvius. This is one of the most dangerous places on earth but the views were amazing. It was super windy and freezing when we were climbing up but i'm so glad we went.
We also visited a lemoncello factory where we shown how they make lemoncello and also tried some of there homemade lemoncello. They also made chocolate and candied almonds.
Another activity we were taken too was Gnocchi making at a cookery school. This was great fun because I love this type of pasta and it tasted amazing.
We visited a local vineyard, where we had this fantastic meal and wine tasting.
We had some free time so we walked down to the local fishing part of Sorrento, where we saw them bringing in freshly caught fish and again the views were breathtaking.
Another favourite of mine was the Mozzarella factory where we were shown how it is made by hand by this extremely cute lady and then we had a tasting. We also tried there homemade jams, lemoncello and wine.
On our final day, in the evening we visited a cooking school where we made tiramisu, Italian biscuits and pizza. They also had some dancers in to show us some traditional Italian dances which was very fun. After the cooking school we went to a disco where everyone danced and had a great time which was a lovely way to finish the trip.
I hope you have enjoyed this blog and if you ever get to go to Sorrento have an amazing time, I know I did.
Thank you very much for reading, please share it would mean a lot.
Love you all <3
Perfect and Sweet <3
